Haunted Maze
Ok, me and some of my friends here, around 10 of us total, went to this local Haunted Maze. Frankly, I'm glad no one was filming this because I was a complete and total wuss, in the beginning anyway. For some reason, me and my roommate ended up at the front of the group leading the way, of course were complaining about it the entire time. So were complaining and leading the group when all of a sudden we hear a chainsaw! THEY HAD A FLIPPING CHAINSAW!! The moment we hear it me and my roommate start running through the maze like little girls screaming our heads off. Alas, we were the only ones in our group like this; everyone else is scared, who wouldn't be, but not near as bad as we were. After running into a few dead ends, and some people as well, we finally get away from the chainsaw guy. So were wandering around, completely lost I might add, but im in the back of the group, I'm feeling pretty darn safe. Its a Haunted Maze though, so whatever made me feel safe is beyond me, because just when I thought I was getting used to it I hear a chainsaw right behind me. Turns out we went in one big circle and ended up at the beginning again. Needless to say, I freaked out again, along with several others in our group, and we all ended up getting pushed into this corner. Imagine, a guy with a chainsaw in bloody clothes staring you down. I'm freaking out, hiding behind one of my friends, when all of a sudden the chainsaw stops. Were still standing there trying to figure out what to do when one of my friends just looks at him with a straight face and says "Hmm... Must've run out of gas." Any fear we had vanished in a fit of laughter, the guy had maybe said 5 words before hand that entire night, and he just comes out with that off the top of his head when everyone else is scared to death? The chainsaw guy just stands there, not knowing how to react and probably hiding his own laughter as well, and we just walk off. After that comment, everything just seemed funny and the rest of the maze was a breeze. Moral of the story? If you ever go to a haunted anything, bring a witty kid to make light of the situation.

Reed Box
Ok, most of you will laugh at this, but woodwinds need to have a Reed Box, doing so will help their reeds last for a year or two by preventing them from warping and keeping them at a constant level of humidity.
In order to make a reed box all you need is a plastic container, like the kind you'd use to store food in. A reed guard, NOT the plastic thing the reeds come in, those are terrible. A double layer of nylon, you can use those nylon socks sold at walmart. A small sponge, maybe 1.5 in in area. And a table spoon and a half to two table spoons of rock salt, this will prevent mold from growing on the Reeds.
Take the sponge, dampen it, and throw it into the double layered sock. You DO NOT want it drenched in water, that will create to much moister. You then take the Rock Salt and throw it into the same sock. Tie the end of the sock into a knot and then throw it into the plastic container. Then take the reeds, put them in the reed guard, and throw them into the plastic container as well. shut the container and get your reeds out to play whenever needed.
